After reading this:

So, how do I use a fireplace? I build one, it looks like a dumb little round stone crown on the ground. I try to right-click it with a branch or log, the game shows me I will make a stack there. Then tells me that place is not fit for making a stack. I try to light it up with a flame, It does not take fire, it's like clicking with that flame on the ground.

What should I do to fuel then light up a fireplace?

Sorry, I got it. All I actually had to do was using mouse wheel to zoom in untill I see nothing from the environment around me and then click on the stone crown, not inside it. Ty for your patience.

It reminds me of an old request so that all area inside the fireplace should accept the input, not just the rocks. I don't remember if the request was here or back during Salem, can't find it in search, so going to restate it.

Yeah ... I wanted to suggest this me too for a long time, I think the easier way is to require some branches other than stones, so when you build it for the first time already has some fuel in it and players can understand better how to add more.

Maybe ghost branches so there's a visible cue that there is no fuel and one can see the hot ashes at the bottom. Those can be missed at a glance if there's fuel in the fireplace.
