Village Claim/Banner Expansion

Forgive me I'm new to the game but I've looked a few places and haven't seen anything about this isse/question I have.

A village banner has a 61x61 area of coverage (supposedly according to the wiki)

New banners can't be built outside of a village claim

When building a new banner wouldn't it be more sensible to have it set so that a new village banner can be built 60 tiles away from the nearest one instead of 30 because of how much linen it costs? Seems dumb to not be able to take full advantage of the banners full area of coverage by only being able to really use half of it's space before you have to build another one.

Would make more sense to set it so that as long as the new banners area would touch or overlap the closest one thus being able to space them out 60 tiles apart instead of 60.

You can highlight the village area so you can easily see where you can place structures.

Your idea would make it more complicated as you'll have to count tiles away from the border.
Plus it would increae the speed at which area can be claimed, so most likely the area would have to be reduced to compensate.

So IMHO the current mechanic is reasonable.
