A stone knife, made from flint and a block of wood.
I don't have any photoshop skills.

i'd believe that we will inevitably see many anew weapons and tools, just takes time. I like the idea of a very basic crude tool to be used for the melee skills pre metal that isnt the axe. Though i would totally love to see a patch of warfare added with new moves, and weapons. If not just for the sole purpose of flavors, like i have said before, anything to make us all look unique will make this game better, even if the weapons added nothing different but just reskins. Add my flail please lol, i want to be that guy in the Link to the Past dungeon.

You do know you can create points for things, a reason for them to work, just because a function is in the game now in its current state doesnt mean it will stay that way. The axe could become worse at butchering animals, while the knife is better and yields more meat. Similar to how metal tools work now. An early pre metal tool sounds neat, and id like to see the game slowed down quite a bit in future iterations anyways.

Yeah, whats the point. It seems that swedish people use axes instead of knives, maybe that could explain why there are no knives in this game.

Given that the knife couldn't cut down trees but the axe could be used to skin animals, albeit at a penalty, I don't hate this.

Also -> Could make the knife require string, a block of wood, and specifically Flint.

Sevenless: We already know real life has some pretty shitty game mechanics, it's why we're here instead.
Avu: The end is near it has finally come to pass: I agree with Lunarius...
Shubla: There are also other reasons to play this game than to maximize your stat gain.
