There should be a big vessel to carry water that you could equip on backpack slot.
It should give you like few dozen liters of water/liquid carrying capacity. Maybe with a small pipe/straw coming to your mouth, so one could drink straight from it while moving.

In other words, a medieval Camelbak? It's that straw, though... not sure what we'd use from way back then in place of the plastic or rubber.

I know a lot of Native American cultures used buffalo stomach to make waterskins and other vessels.

Although I don't think this idea is particularly necessary.

Yeah, some backpack slot item that holds 30-50 liters of liquid would be cool. Maybe let it hold seeds and powders too, to increase it's usage a tad.
