Now with the addition of all the new string types we could really use something for real lure and string management. Should be able to hold it in off hand since fishing pole is 1handed and only holds your string, lures, and hook. Honestly i feel like the new strings should have charges or wear on them as normal spools you would just restring your line and then add new hook and lure instead of a big spool looking string and breaks on first use. would help keep the complexity but would definitely be a quality of life for mid game on.
God yes anything to help the poor fishing QoL we have now. Tackle Box is a no brainer and a must have. The fishermans hat could use some love too.

Also, the new fishing lines you have to make... Could you add charges to them based on the quality they're created at? I mean, that would be awesome. It is an entire line reel after all. The line breaks? Just pull some more out line out of the current reel, tie a new hook and bait, and get right back to it ! Run out of line on your reel? Pull a fresh one out with decent charges remaining on it.
Creels are for holding fish though. Throwing your 10 hooks, 10 reels, and attempting to cram fish in there doesn't make sense! Also, the tackle box would be a specific holder for bait, line, and hooks. 1 handed, like the wicker picker so you can have your other hand holding your fishing rod.
Fish go in the Creel, Bait and Tackle go in the box, inventory is for overflow and equipment.
Fishing hat and vest--holds hooks and lures (hat) or all related tackle (vest).
Make it big enough that it'll hold a LOT of everything.
On the other hand, wouldn't a more sensible inventory system be better? One where a single bone hook doesn't occupy as much of your inventory as a bar of gold?

Current inventory system is very characteristic for HnH. It has been since the beginning, I don't think that it should be changed in any major way. Of course it can be argued whether or not adding 100 different specialized baskets creels and bags for different items is the way to go..
