Foraging Stat "Window"

Little idea I just had that could add some exclusivity to different types of players, giving new players a solid potential advantage and long-term players a reason to interact with noobs, and more stuff to look forward to.

What if your foraging P*E was a window with a hard cut off on the BOTTOM as well as the top?

Something like this.

The idea would be that once you have massively progressed your perception and exploration skills that you simply cannot be bothered with things on the low end of the spectrum anymore.

Like why would a nomad with a lifetime or worldly experience and knowledge that can identify some of the more rare herbs in the world belittle himself by regarding a heartsease as anything other than a lowly weed? (unless ofcourse its been cultivated by him in garden pots)

There could also be some exceptions to what specific foragables actually get completely cut out of your site, but I think it might be better to literally completely remove them and rather have a whole new set of very high p*e flowers and mushrooms and plants in the wild. This way getting incredibly high p*e would not be a deterrent but rather a hard trade. Easy cattail strings. and the medicines and clothing materials of the peasants no longer interest you, but at this point you surely have some industry that makes some of this shit redundant and in exchange you can see some more interesting new curio and mushrooms and whatnot.

After eating whale meat or cheese you should get wounds for eating anything else.

If it ever mattered, it would be utterly trivial to spin up a low PER alt to forage with.

If it's not worth taking that tiny amount of effort (for a well established village), it probably wouldn't be worth trading for either.

this just encourages having low PER*EXP and high PER*EXP alts for foraging

I'm pretty sure that eventually we will hit a wall where the amount of tasks, alts and hours required for the average realm village will become too much and they might actually become too lazy or encumbered to do everything they need to do with alts and bots

that being said, the "if something is good people will just make an alt/bot for it" argument really only applies to a small percentage of villages and many non-realmy markets and smaller villages trade on totally different levels

The whole rest of the game is give and take, the harder you grind the more you have to work, the bigger your village the more chores, the more you gain the more you have to lose

Even if it offers absolutely no benefit to new players, which I highly doubt would be the case, I think the idea of "great effort bringing on further difficulties" is pretty thematic with the current game progression
