Knockout ease of life - to save a noobie

Postby maze » Mon Jun 21, 2021 5:15 pm

I find the biggest cause of deaths for noobies this world is just standing up after being knocked out once.
Weekly if not daily I have another noobie telling me how they just died.
Alot of the times noobies don't even know they can hearth home after being knocked out.

The game needs to have a menu system popup on knock out that auto selects hearth home (instead of having to mash the hearth home button like it's now)
I feel this would be an very good solution to save hermits/noobies an unexpected death.

+1 that will be kinda good QoL improvement. Every world there load of newbs that just arent ready for sudden pvp interactions and its consequences. We cant expect expanded tutorial, but this simple things aren't hard to add.
(Imagine tutorial room on character creation with bunch of pvp lessons like: opKn lesson, where you need to open enemy npc for cleave of npc teammate; escape tutorial, where you need to run for 30 seconds, press defences and drink)

the new players are too busy panicking to use common sense the game even tells you this when you get knocked out

Doing nothing should hearth you by default, if you're already near your hearthfire it should log out.

That way if someone's DCed the game is automatically making fairly good choices.

And how should this window look like, if hearthling has no hearth fire?

Also, would've been nice if suggested window won't pop for hearthlings with >1kk LP spent already ("Silly UI, don't bother me with trivial knowledge").

lucky to blow again

pun intended?
