Why isn't it viable for fodder?

i believe its like, 1u or 2u of fodder per straw, which becomes absolute masochism tedium to collect past a certain point. i don't recall how many pieces of straw to fill a fodder bin, but its well past 1000, and that feels absolutely terrible to me as far as time spent to reward received. i'd dumped about 30 stockpiles of straw in to troughs and was VERY underwhelmed.

basically, right now turnips are easily 2-3x more fodder and feels like I'm actively making the wrong choice growing anything else to feed animals, grain ql's (except millet because nobody cares about it) generally tend to rise pretty similarly with turnips for less-extreme-players (not 1:1 obviously) and would serve a pretty good alternative for people that aren't botting seed stage all of the time
