Drink option: Chug

If you know you're going to clean out a whole tankard or glass or whatever of any drink, there should be an option to just chug the whole thing in a few gulps. Have it require you to stand still while you're doing it and it won't be an issue in combat, it'll just make drinking a ton of alcohol before eating slightly less of a pain.

Seems better than current mechanics, but I think there's a better solution. Drinking 50+L of wine/perry from a .35 vessel would still feel awful if you could chug an entire glass with one gulp.

even with a 1L universal container being put into place like the silver river goblet, I think it'd still be a nice piece of QoL given the still massive quantity of drinks you have to chug down

TBH, again big improvement but chugging an entire 1L per interaction from a universal vessel would still feels bad for me. It's still something I'd automate.

Another solution could be drinks buff you for a time period instead of per bite, so you drink .35L of wine and then eat w/e amount of food in the next 5 minutes.
The number of bites per gulp could just be buffed to super high levels, EX 100/200/300 bite per .5L.
The character could automatically drink from opened barrels/buckets in open inventories whenever food is consumed.

+1. Ive given up on trying to do this efficiently and resort to brute force. Straight from a Waterskin. Aint nobody got time to fuck around drinking for 20 minutes because youre going to feast. Even with a waterskin capacity its an endeavor to drink 5+ types of drinks at a time.

+1, yeah. my suggestion is made assuming that they dont want to change the buff system from counters, but this would be closer to the ideal scenario.

Bump , great idea with drinking buff connected to time like 5 min. and drinking each drink from a different vessel is not needed tedium. Drinking from barrel +1
