The fact that you could switch from miner, to hunter, to farmer, to potter all in one session. If that's your wish, might as well just overhaul the complete system.

-1 any stat reversion sounds bad
making change into the game just because someone find themself not up to new standatrs sounds strange
Why only these stats, what if some change will devaluate crafter character?

You generally don't change the rules during an active competitive season of the competition.

You could consider a world an active season. While it's not nearly the same situation, and the 'rules' are really how combat works, it's still a bit of a bad call. If the devs change weighting and nerf/nuke builds in most games, people can respec. If MC becomes completely worthless because of an update while UA was useless before, or vice versa, you're basically throwing the game inadvertently for a bunch of people.

Also, this idea would synergize very well with the idea to separate crafting LP from combat LP. That way, combat LP would be respeccable without other stats being respeccable, which would be a bad thing. It's only a good idea with combat.

pvpers should be punished with difficult and unforgiving mechanics if they want to engage in this content

-1 nothing should be implemented to make pvping easier, ever

just make a bot alt bot each type of stat, isn't that what you guys do anyways?

Because crafting skills have a multitude of uses. Fighting skills are the opposite, their only use is to fight, but there's 3 separate skills, and there's always useless ones, because jorb can't balance combat.

If carrots were made useless, you'd still use farming for every other crop. If swords were made useless, your MC skill is now a dumpster. The latter is much more common, as it usually happens multiple times a world.

Bump since the devs are going to rebalance combat moves 3 times minimum this world from the impact of the damage changes.

Fuck MC/UC if this is what you want. Just make one combat stat, and let you assign it in the combat window what the balance you want is.

PvPers can decide if it makes sense to let people switch it when they switch combat decks. As a layman seems a bit too much, but dunno how much that would "matter" in actual pvp.

Would be ok. But specializing in a combat style is kind of a cool thing. There are different decks for people going UA, people going MC, and people raising both.

And MM is one of the main reasons for this suggestion, because anytime it gets buffed and someone bothers to make an archer and bring it to fights it gets nerfed.

Yeah, but this is really just moving the "are my points in UA/MC/MM" to a different window. Put your LP cost for switch on a button in that window to let people shuffle their stats.

As a person who has fought very little I don't know how important people feel about specialization. If you think it's important, still easy to work that into the UI.
