Walls on a claim should decay preferentially

Postby Ferinex » Sat Apr 30, 2022 10:25 pm

Walls should be preferentially targeted by decay, if on a claim, sparing the other things until the wall is decayed first.
i guess they never miss huh

0 authority claims should not protect walls from hand bashing, or at very least act as though it has 0% claim power for siege purposes.

You guys still didn't revert the random ass patch you did in response to me bashing dead realms with visitor that made destroying dead claims a crime / protected by visitor BTW

He wants to loot abandoned willages, but the houses inside and then their cupboards decay faster than the walls.

Can't you just bash the wall if the claim ran out of auth? Was this changed?

You can't. You can only bash the wall if its fresh or outside of the claim.

Because it is! No idea why it's like that.

To my knowledge, inactive claim should remove Palisade's hand-bashing immunity. It still has 25 soak though, making bashing only option for big bois. (Or very least, 729 is a tall-order for someone starting with fresh character only.)

(btw, I have false memory that Jorb lowered the Palisade's max soak in a patch that made it hand-bash immune when it reaches it's full soak, but I haven't found any proof of this. Making it a real thing could be a decent idea.)

Why would a decay mechanic favour raiders and looters :?:

Its cool to get free stuff but the thing is: why whould a game decay mechanic help a kind of player choice?

It's not the case unfortunately.
