I still don't get new world hype, sure it's fun at first, but they always end up just like the last and yes yes coming across massive ruins is a charm of the game there is still this need of fresh start, like almost every month XD.
Like every world goes back to normal just like the previous world in around 2 to 3 months, from massive players boost to thousands to back to couple hundred. To a living noisy world to a quiet place. Most bases abandoned and trade back to bare bones.
So why not focus on something that makes the game fun, just like or very similar to the world resets?
Like for example existing world which has either monthly or seasonal (every 3 months) patch/world events. Where every month sections of the world gets added, changed or removed. Let devs play minesweeper (the mines are players bases) or battleships (the ships are the players bases).
Instead of reseting the whole world, why not reset parts of it? Expand it, shrink it, play around with it. New animals new biomes. Set up the world in layers. Take some out, put new ones in.
Have like armegedon messages pop up within the area that will be changed so people could move or DIE. Have a map area marked of the planned removal. Like spice it up and play around with this idea devs.
No more asking for world resets, when world resets are around the conner and you gonna get nuked, while your neighbour factions laughs while looking over their wall.
Have whole continents sink to make oceons and make land rise where there once were an oceon.
