should it be displayed in promiles  :geek: ¦]

now for real.
J&L I will quickly translate what is happening on the picture
player does have 3 options:
1) low brain option - teleport back and waste spittoon of TW
2) medium brain - sail back and dont enjoy it because is geared up and cant pick up anymore stuff or whatever
3) big brain option - stop on the shore, build alt, give alt key, have alt to port the ship back so his tw gets RIP'd, then player can port main back to retrieve the items

in any case you might come up with two conclusions
1) this alt play needs to stop and make alts to dumb to port snek/knar
2) reduce or remove that tw logic

I think it would be reasonable to tweak TW formula to take no more than 25% TW from any place on the map, but also adding skill "sailing" that needs to be purchased after boat building and required to sail large vessels ( snek, knar.. )
My mother told me Someday I would buy
Galley with good oars Sail to distant shores
Stand up high in the prow Noble barque I steer
Steady course for the haven Hew many foe-men,
hew many foe-men

Does this mean that if you have over the TW that you can't teleport the boat? Then yeah make alt... what means JL will quickly make a bandaid fix to stop alts from teleporting the boat.

JL will then put it behind a skill like boatbuilding what only takes 2 mins to buy with a fresh spawn.
So then they will be like BIG boats new skill. 50k!

Imagine what free dock travel would do to the game. People would leave their villages, travel further distances, and interact with other players more often. We can't have that

Eventually you just have a perpetually logged in non-fresh alt on a second account you always take with you on snekkkja/knarr voyages just to have it teleport the boat back.

Last time I made this exact same suggestion 2 years ago someone mentioned how jorb and loftar will actually make it worse, so I deleted the OP and any hint of what was even suggested in the thread.

I suggest you do the same, cause they'll take away the beacons and fix absolutely nothing. They'll make it worse.

Tbh traveling to docks and hearthfire should be 0 travel weariness, and arguably roads as well, I feel like the 'cost' in that scenario is building the road and maintaining it from being griefed
