FEP bonus during winter

Give hearthlings 25% FEP bonus (or bigger?), when eating, during winter. Or slower hunger bar filling.
Since there is not much to do during winter this bonus might promote concentrating on cooking and eating during winter, while hoarding crops and ingredients during earlier seasons. Which is what people did back in the day.

Wouldn't this be another mechanic that requires long term planning in advance that would trip up beginners?

I'm all for making winter feel good somehow, but extra "you must memorize this bible to play efficiently" mechanics isn't something we want to add.

Well, I think a bonus like this is not strong enough that it would enforce a specific playstyle on you.
And certainly it's not one of those things you have to be aware of for the future when you start as a newbie. At least not like "remember to harvest your crops before winter"

It kinda sounds like anything that makes winter a bit better is forbidden until winter is made as fun as any other season.
Because giving any buff to winter is "forcing" min maxers to play during it, out of fear of missing out.
And playing during winter is no-no because it's not fun enough.

Yeah? I wouldn't want to be behind. Imagine - you're too busy to play the game for the whole winter and miss out on a TON of stats because of that. Not even counting the effort you need to go through to get the food.
Winter should be fixed in other ways than haha here u go have le fun stat gain. (this is not fun whatsoever)

with the way food currently is PVPers will be behind if they don't log for a few days during any season, and with the way stats matchups are balanced for the last few worlds I don't think it matters either way

Winter could add a buff to players, like a "hibernated" status that gives the desired fep bonus and persists even in to springtime for a short bit, but gets spent the more you eat.
