What can people do when they have achieved everything?

Postby kirillius98 » Sat Oct 15, 2022 5:39 pm

Can someone explain how will people who have killed many trolls, orcas and whales, who entered level 9 mine, cleared dosens of dungeons and won a few fights for meteorite can entertain themselves?

Grief people who have little to no ability to fight back in any way.

SnuggleSnail probably could produce enough materials to siege any base he wants, but he works smarter, not harder.

Exploiting people's natural tendency to help other humans seems to be rather effective strategy, especially considering lots of people have little to no idea how brutal game HnH can be.

Step one: aggro a boar and let it chase you while you run around checking every settlement that seems active.

Step two:
if you see a player, drop down to speed two and lie in area chat that you're out of water. If they decide to be a Good Samaritan, proceed to relevant step three. If not, go back to step one.

Step three A: They come out of visitor gate. You will, very least, get to KO and loot the character that came out, possibly killing them.

Step three B: They come out of regular (non-airlock) gate. Because you can enter the base without gaining Visitor status, you get to Burn Loot Murder it entirely.

EDIT: Sorry if it feels like I've been spamming link to this post excessively. I feel like this is something players should be aware and Jorb should really take into account (w15 prelude seem that it might be a step to the right direction, at least from this perspective.)

Also this method is presumably a huge timesink, the guy who came out of the non-visitor gate might be the equivalent of Shiny Pokemon appearing. I don't remember why I originally felt the need to specify that in some other post, but it will support the argument that w14 siege was so bad, Snail rather ran around hoping that someone is online and falls for his trick.

The most actively maintained Haven and Hearth Wiki (Not guaranteed to be up-to-date with all w14 changes.)

Basic Claim Safety (And what you’re doing wrong) (I recommend you read it in it's entirety, but TL:;DR: Build a Palisade.)

Combat Guide (Overview, PVE, PVP) (Includes how to escape/minimize risk of getting killed.)

You understood my question right - and that's the main point.
Is there ANY other way to entertain rather than hunting on players? As I know there are almost no other late-game possibilities

Try to invite other players to play with, either newbie bootcamp or just a village that allows other people to join. Larger count of players effectively managed opens new opportunities and capabilities for your team, but in most cases people just ending being shitted out and drops.
Also social projects, either art place, market or just any other publicly available places for other people.

At the very end join haven community(tm) core in main discord(tm) which never changes and start yelling about how bad game is and how new world wipe could change everything(it's not)

H&H is a social-based game where you have to destroy all other communities to build social projects of unbelievable beauty and complexity.
I mean, you can try to build and create a group for just playing - and you will see strong players able to destroy everything you want to create. How to counter it? Become a strong player. And so, if you want to create - you have to destroy.

if you know some Java programming you can spend absurd ammount of time tweaking the game client

if you're into building or larping you also can go nuts

but most of the achievers want to follow a pre-determined path, once that is inevitably over most will quit and make the world more newbie friendly
