Lawspeaker Mechanics

So villages and lawspeaker is a bit flawed. In regards of the Lawspeaker getting inactive leaving the village to its mercy.

There should be a mechanic where the villagers can choose a new Lawspeaker so they can access permissions. That way the village can continue going without the person that decided to vanish.

Maybe that option can become avaible if the person with lawspeaking becomes inactive for a set amount of days.

nah, it's your own fault for choosing such a lawspeaker, it is his village after all that you have joined of your free will lmao.

Yeah but it doesn't make that the game mechanics are wrong just because you are complaining and your opinion doesn't make it right for sure.
Just better make a new village without him

You used to be able to "usurp" Lawspeaker if the authority is completely drained to zero, but neither a character (one who was part of the village and one who was not) could do that.

again agree to vatas. you are smart dude =)

maybe the lawspeaker should "speak" what the "law" should be?

in my opinion, any village can have its own laws and rules. starting with a simple "what kind of material to use for roads in the village?" and ending with "how will we decide who the next ruler is?"
if the law clearly states that the rights to the village can be obtained by defeating everyone in an honest fist fight, then let it be so. or, for example, you need to buy a ruler's certificate from the current ruler. or, finally, the current ruler will name the receiver.

in the meantime, as it is:
we all play the game like children in a sandbox. there seem to be rules, but everyone perceives them in their own way.
