Idea: Walls and floors in the house

Houses are always different on the outside of the house because of the wood and stone, but it would be fun to use planks to change the inside of the house too. Maybe nail boards onto the walls one by one so that you can create an ornament? (Although this is a complicated option)

In any case, for some (including me) it would be enough to at least have the opportunity to change the color of the floor (since you have the opportunity to make wallpaper)

This is a small thing and just an idea for additional cozy and atmosphere.

If you guys do this shit can you make it paving/wall papering with boards instead of based on what the house was built from?

Variable material everything looks good when somebody intentionally goes out of their way to make it look good, but if random materials are used (easily 95%+ of cases) it's really ugly. Yes 1% of bases end up very pretty, but 90% of bases that would look decent without variable materials look like vomit with them.

A lot of clients devs have opted to just turn off variable materials because on average it makes the game look better. I think that trend will continue if variable materials keep getting haphazardly added to everything that's too much effort to color coordinate (CUPBOARDS, chests, htables, trellises). IMO, it would be best to only really get variable material colors on things when it's opted into in some way.

I would say have a certain time, perhaps one day, from building the house to change the wall and floor texture. Hold a board of the desired wood and right click the wall to give it that texture. Floors could be one texture, as a typical hardwood floor, or done as tiles for parquetry or marquetry floors. Cellars could have stone wall textures the same way.

While it would mean a bit more work, it would be nice if palis had the color of the wood used (lazy folk would have a kaleidoscope pali, lol).
