If it was in the game since the inception of credos, and bunny slippers for the same, how can you say it didn't work as intended? When I asked Jorb about this btw, he seemed fully aware of the pvp implications of this mechanic and only changed it because of a few pvpers who were bad at the mechanic (and had a client that allows for ease of use) pleased for it to be reverted.
Personally, I think a lot of the people complaining about it are hermits who will get fucked if they get chased by anyone anyways (as I have personally seen).
Forager/slippers made it so people who are willing to learn how to utilize them an easier escape and allowed for a way OUT of 1 hour chases
