Yup, I delight in listening to people throw hissy fits over it.

As for the star shard thing: It's intended to prevent you from spiral stacking shards. Like if you starred a stone axe, mined more of that stone now at a higher quality, made a new stone axe that you also starred, etc.

Realistically though they're rare enough that the only place you starshard is on your smithy hammer. Cast items remove star shard status, so you can starshard each generation of smithy hammer.

Now that you've stated such I accept the fact that you like it and don't want it changed. I still don't like it and think it should be changed.

If the meaningless bit of text is something you find so annoying it shouldn't be too hard to just focus more on whether or not you received it when using a spinning wheel. The star shard spreading actually makes some sense as to prevent multiple uses in a row of the star shard and such. I understand it may be hard to avoid specifically when trading, however, if you truly care about it that much it should be incredibly easy to prevent the spread of both.

I don't really see why this would ever be something the devs should actually change.
