Same as the change made with testicles: if you're mass dealing with animals it's nicer if the important products come from butchering since it's an action that's mandatory to dispose of the corpse.

But then you can't get suckling maws if you want to spit roast instead of butchering.

I only say it to mention it. I don't actually spit roast. So, if that's intended then it's fine by me.
