Rootfill discovery not working.

Unless the prerequisites changed no one I know managed to unlock Rootfill.

If the discoveries changed then disregard this post.

Seems you only unlock it if you get the root yourself. Teaching doesnt do it.

You aren't getting Strange Roots confused with Tough Roots or Spindly Taproots, are you?

Make sure you have the First Aid skill. I personally think it might take Druidic Rite as well.

I haven't dug out a strange root. I learned it from a parchment. You're missing something.

Maybe your friend mistakes laurel leaves for laurel wood?

No, I even have Wreath of Laurels unlocked and they had the Strange Root themselves. After teaching it to me and giving it to me because he assumed I would have the recipe then (I saw it was the correct root) still no recipe.

Maybe I'll ask him to put it on paper, make it official you know.

is there any chance they themself dont have the root discovered and just taught you "any root" that sometimes happens.

I've had some experiences in past worlds where we were similarly confounded. I concluded that "taught" objects only unlocked recipes the teacher knew, but we didn't test further to confirm. If the teacher is missing a skill, they may be able to purchase the necessary skill and teach you again?

Close the post...My friend "forgot" to discover the Strange Root and just borrowed it from someone and expected that teaching would work.
