It's hard to play with people you don't already know when the best move for another player simply showing up on your minimap is to TP, unless you're geared and leveled enough to be able to take them at which point the best move for them is to TP. Dwarves and Thieves addresses it somewhat even if it's like walking down a dark alley with an established character, it's probably the hardest issue to address but it could possibly be leant into slightly for some better effect:

>"Private servers when?" ad infinitum :lol: but if the move is already to play with people you already know, it would make sense and any shenanigans playing in the public server is completely to be expected (Get more aggressive even)

There is also a non-zero number of bots or alts that might as well be bots, if that's fine with the devs lean into it with some related features:
>A slight workaround to localized resource bots where you could make an offering to the resource, getting a small number of resources back hardcapped by the average of both your skills and the offering quality
>An inhouse bot system that could use the hearth magic, ancestor worship, attention systems and maybe boosted by mandrake roots

Modded clients have a Steam page so I'm going to assume that's fine with the devs, but I'd strongly suggest implementing some features of modded clients to the vanilla one unless the player isn't meant to have those features.
