I disagree, as the Ruler of a Nation you should be policing your own immigration. If you need to create an ICE unit to deal with non-citizens living within your borders then thats what should be done as a government body. The Grace of God (Mechanics designed by the Devs) should not be responsible for realm management.
At most some really expensive ability that lets you seek out a player based on their name with limited accuracy assuming their HF is within the realm. or and Authority-eske item that is Government Identification in the form of a Passport or something. only approved parties and naturalized citizens approved by you could hold them (Fake IDs would definitely also have to be a Crime Item added in this case tho. counteracted by high perception and int) Which would be able to be shown within the Bandy menu upon ICE request.
I'm honestly a Social Hermit so.....Seige Mechanics arent really something im well versed in.......I'd be down to having a Tithe Based system to be loosely associated with the local government and allowed certain freedoms with limited worry about being raided by the local forces and only worry about Wartime Scenarios......yea.....could also be a part of a Draft.....although I insist that Alt Creation for sake of Military Enlistment be allowed.
If I as a citizen of that region were oppressed by unfair conditions in order to receive citizenship and even then my safety was not guaranteed or my Tithe was unsustainable......id feel a need to immigrate to Unclaimed Regions.....or a Realm with better political structure suited for my playstyle.
Could even make that ID system something that could be applied to Personal Claims and or Villages to be visible at a cursory inspection of the region......Village Inspections would be for when theyre tracking specific players down....see if you have any unregistered hearthlings living in the village (alts might have to be registered on a regular basis or receive penalty)
