You have made great work as an artist Jorb and many people would love to buy the old hats.
As time goes on it will also become increasingly difficult to come up with new ideas which this old hat rotation would fix.
If you aren't forced to create new cosmetic hats anymore you could start working on a new cosmetic slot like capes or shields.

hard to believe but haven been up for almost 10 years ,, yes theres a lot of hats , many of them hold a great value now and believe me hardcore players pay a lot of dollars to get those hats

I mean... honestly? +1, i don't care about people having hats from 10 years ago and hoarding it for the imaginary value. Invest into real things if you want to make an investment, haven could close permanently tomorrow and you'd be left with nothing anyways. Make the reruns not include the 200+ dollar year gold sub hat if you really want and the most valuable hats are still rare af so the people who spent 200$ aren't completely cucked.

EDIT: Also i'm not saying this would be good for players or anything, but if they REALLY wanted to cash in on the old hats, make a goddamn lootbox you get once a month on silver+ sub (make it like 2-3 on gold sub or a bit better odds idc) with a random hat inside it based on the rarity (if there is 3 hats in existence it should be a fucking miracle to get it), and then if someone wants more lootboxes because gambling addiction? Make them like 10-15$ a pop.
