Alchemy is niche and spreadsheets are hard, some items are expensive to find the traits for, so to open accessibility to people getting into alchemy, or saving time for the veterans trying to figure out what in gods name that rock crystal's traits are, how about an expensive hearth magic to reveal traits without the order for at least some footwork to be done? Could be costly like digging a well so it's not a free ingredient book, or even just reveal 1 trait you havent discovered. Just spitballing ideas while the rot gut sibsides
