I think it's a global pool issue. I checked immediately after seeing your post and got quite a few stars and lights, but now I can't find them anywhere anymore, even after multiple whirlpool hops. I always experience the same thing with Glimmermoss, initially finding plenty and then they dry up (though the Glimmermoss pool is local I think?). Yule Crackers continue to appear because nobody cares about them.

Nope, probably local pool. After many hops I came across a place where they're common again.

EDIT: They're common again at home now, too. That's weird. Didn't re-equip any gear or anything like that.

Global pools are gone its all province pools now. So you can over farm an area.

They did this same thing with Salem, where the minimap is useless because it's just clogged with one hundred trillion foragables because More Thing = More Fun!!! Don't like it.
