Rage change

Give hearthlings with no rage -20% damage debuff(pvp and pve).
Rage makes you hit harder.

Is this supposed to be an incentive to buy rage for pve players because you want to bully casuals you little pvping rascal?

I kinda struggle to get back into the headspace of a pre-"fuck it we ball" haven player, but would that really move the needle for anybody?

For nerds exploiting rageless PVP they're already at a pretty bad disadvantage because of it, yet they do it anyway. Plus there's useful stuff to do in fights that isn't dealing damage anyway.

For people that are just afraid of being ganked does killing a bear 3 seconds slower rly matter? Most people stop killing bears after farms come online anyway. Seems like it'd just make people feel bad without changing their behavior.

The best change was already suggested in the other thread

Outlaw should prevent you from being able to use visitor gates in combat, not rage. That way harmless PvE ppl arent disincentivized from actually getting rage they are just disincentivized from using it.

I kind of agree with current world debuff rage has to give something PvP-unique, distinguishing players who don't buy it but combat anyway.
New combat attacks and restorations, or lock existing OP moves and attacks behind this skill, or even damage bonus why not.

Not taking range and being able to use visitor gate protection, but once aggroed to have a full capability to fight equally to rage bearer is simply unfair.

+1. That would be a pretty good change. It would actually make PvP more accessible while discouraging committing crimes for those who can’t run well enough.
Also makes tracking a bit more sensible - you know that the tracked guy can't escape to a safepali. Still, tracking requires too much time and effort and maybe needs other QoL improvements, but that's another story.

i still dont see any reason to get rage. its the most useless skill in the game.

If you want to engage in pvp in any way, you should need rage. There's plenty of ways to do it, but I think it's a fair viewpoint. The "no offensive moves" suggestion elsewhere is fine by me.

Only caveat is a button that can permanently "ruin a character" needs some hella explanation/confirmation on it when you try to click it.
