you pay real money for sketchbooks and lose them after building 1 item in a full loot open pvp game this isnt really that good a deal by any means. when i heard you could store them in your hearth fire i assumed that you could store a reusable sketch, so got one to finally put some pictures on shields, but no you get a single decal for $2.50 which you also need to make sure fits into the dimensions and color palette of the game
for all the work you have to do to make an image fit the game and pay you should atleast be able to make more than one item with that image; especially given the nature of equipment in this game, quality and gildings meaning they need to be constantly replaced. right now they are a rather strange way to monetize, sub tokens make sense but sketches are in a weird space where you pay to skip intentionally obtuse mechanics like painting without sketchbooks or variable materials. If i could set a sketchbook to a material or design, use it to make gear or apply to buildings and then keep it in my hearth fire and get either an empty one or the same one back the next world id buy hundreds, but staying as 'disposable' items im not going to buy any more.
