Higher Food Complexity

Postby flevalt » Sat Jan 03, 2026 6:43 pm

I find that the complexity of food needs to be raised more. Pickling, Spices and Stuffings were a good first step. But it's not enough.
Now we need to consider the application of spices onto ingredients, like creating truffled butter or herb butter by applying spices onto butter and other ingredients, which will then alter the outcomes of food even further.

A good complexity level ought to be reached only once even an AI bot can not, in finite time, figure out all the possible combination paths of food to find out which recipes are good and which aren't.

can we also make cooking an interactive minigame where you have to go to the appropriate workstation, and then insert ingredients in one at a time. The way you insert ingredients, the quantity, etc thus influencing the end result!!!!!111!!!

Instead of making delicious deer dog, you simply go to the meat grinder and insert anything you want.

This can even then, further, be influenced by the character's psyche, dexterety, will, and cooking skills, via the number of ingredients you can use!!!

if you do chives first, and season each individual piece of meat, followed by tenderizing and then finally putting it through the meatgrinder you get a better product than if you did two meat, then used chives on the last one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

great idea mate!!

Well the pvpers already don't want to play the game, might as well entertain the players who do? Not like anything the devs have added since this combat system was created (8? years ago) has made them happy.
Lucky: haven is so quirky
Lucky: can be so ugly, can be so heartwarming
