Forum Suggestion: Bad Apples

The following is offered as a sincere suggestion.

Perfect autonomy in online spaces has become a real issue. I'm happy to leave the game world to the wolves, in that regard. However, the forum space -- particularly C&I -- should be a place for all to participate.

Please consider adding forum rules to regulate shitposts and hateful conduct, e.g:

• Critique and Ideas is for critique and ideas. If you can't handle criticism, don't post.
• Personal attacks are not allowed. Using a slur will result in a 1 week forum ban, enforced at the discretion of the moderation team.

I realize that a couple of simple rules may result in moderation of over 60% of forum regulars. However, if that is the case, it only emphasizes the need for moderation here.

Does it not make you the slightest bit uncomfortable that someone is born with power over you without earning it?

No, I accept that as a fact of life. Parents, teachers, authority figures -- God, ultimately. I reject the jacobin idea that liberty and perfect autonomy are the same thing.

I am convinced this suggestion is a good faith one. I am also convinced it will either be mocked or treated as a rage bait. I am also convinced it will not result in any changes in forum moderation.

This community boiled for years upon years to reach this inner balance of toxic nihilism and childish rejection of anything humanlike. If we remove creatures like this who can't take the heat and constantly have horrible takes, it'd reduce the amount of chaff the developer's have the sort through, effectively turning what's currently a pool of toxic sludge into something halfway resembling at least a regular sewer.

90% of the community agrees with what's been posted by me, I'm just the messenger. Those that don't, simply put, are apart of the problem and unironically, are also the ones constantly posting bad takes as well. It's like a massive circle-jerk for you guys.
