"This is possible, but why?"

For example, many people want potatoes added. They know a lot of recipes with them and love them. Buckwheat has its uses – flour that adds another ingredient to baked goods (like wheat, millet, or barley), and boiled buckwheat with meat, butter, herbs, and garlic – thanks to the variety of meats, it also creates a variety of dishes.
But what about the rest?

I know two eggplant recipes – fried over a fire and soup. And I know very few people who like it.

Cabbage – I think it's in the game. Yes, in reality, different varieties of cabbage are used, but how would it differ from the cabbage already in the game?

Beans. The game has peas. While I love bean or lentil soup and know a couple of delicious recipes with them, it would be better to offer more reasons and uses for adding a new crop.
For example, a bean accessory on a string. Or, "There are many cultures for various stats, but few for charisma. You can add beans and dishes containing them, which increase charisma—after bean soup, you become the life of the party, especially in confined spaces."
