Green Grapes & White Wine

Thoughts on the further development of Haven & Hearth? Feel free to opine!

Green Grapes & White Wine

Postby Malagast » Mon Apr 06, 2026 6:38 am

I’d like to suggest adding green grapes as a counterpart to the existing red/purple grapes. (No longer just "grapes" but red/green grapes)

We have seen more variety added to similar crops in the game recently so I thought I would suggest even more to the abundance.

White wine production alongside red wine.
Different FEP profiles between red and white wine.
Expanded cooking recipes using grape variety as an ingredient distinction.

Red grapes → Red wine
Green grapes → White wine
Certain recipes could specifically require one or the other, or give different results depending on the type used.

Also, potatoes please.

Color of the grapes is less relevant than the method of processing.

When you make red wine, you use the entire grape, including skin, seeds, and pulp.

When you make white wine, you only use the juice.

Interesting! I have seen maybe one other game with the simpler way of distinguishing the drinks by only color and thought it could work with haven. :D
