Destroy area

Just like the new area butchering, but with destroy. Hold shift and press Destroy and mark an area and the character will try to remove everything possible in that area.

For what purpose?

Sounds good for destroying trellises and vines.
Not so much if it's for destroying enemy bases and making the bots' job easier.

if enemy won siege and got into your base you should already be gone with all your loot

Not everything can be carried away. Manually breaking it down and clicking on each one can be lazy, but selecting an area and watching a video for half an hour is not.

Making a bot to bash stuff is already trivial it won't somehow become even easier because of it, and it has fair uses outside of griefing like aforementioned trellis bashing, or steel crucible bashing, or tree stumps bashing, etc. Idk why you'd prefer to keep a QoL additions out from the game just because someone could use it to make bashing someones base a little bit easier (if they dont have a bot to begin with, which i think is kind of a basic feature at the very least for the non-griefing purposes) but honestly suit yourselves, easy trellis bashing is a gift to factions with private clients ig.

I'm not against it, but I'm thinking about how it could be abused. And, accordingly, how to prevent it.

I don't know why the author of this post needs such a function. The most likely option is for trellises. But maybe they want to uproot stumps by area. Or destroy bases by simply selecting an area. Or maybe all of these combined. Or something completely different.
If it's just for grape trellises, there was a suggestion to add a garden tool, a garden trowel, which would allow for quick removal of vines.

On the one hand, this would add a new tool in addition to the area-based destruction function. On the other hand, the garden tool won't be used to destroy bases and roads by simply selecting an area.

In all seriousness, would be a good idea to have a destroy zone; mass removing stumps; cleaning roadways; rebuilding a whole side of town, trolling spruce caps;

with this feature sprucecaps can strike back and KO these area bashers because they will be afk bashing anyway
with this added feature all the area bashers will be in huge danger because they are too lazy to actually look at what they are doing
this new feature will help us deal with the epidemic of area bashing
