Is there still testing or optimization has been merged into the main branch? Crashing of the client became very often and unnoying. Sometimes it is just a long (about a minute) freeze, while my char stay afk. Once I almost broke all gear while hunting this way.

Sometimes map/textures stop loading. That means if I will not shut down client immidietly it will froze as well and there will be only one way to kill it -- kill javaw process. And yeah, char stay afk, trying to die ofc.

I guess it can be easily confusing for people (who aren't aware of any technological details) because this game arguably looks better than H&H.

You assume some people may not know H&H is working on Java (I think they can, but still), and comparing it to one of the most optimized Ubi's game seems really strange to me. I personally have finished the Witcher 2 on my laptop (yes, on min and in 800*600 window mode, but still) and had better FPS there. But if someone wants to complain about crappy H&H optimization - Anno 1404 should be the last thing they should mention.

Right my bad. i'm gonna compare it to minecraft.
Runs on Java. Run's better since beta than H&H.

I hate the excuse "it's running on java it can't perform well..."
But before we discuss how the game is not optimized or not, i was just asking if Loftar is still working on some changes. That's all.

im wanna know too ,
im already asking about FPS issue in this thread viewtopic.php?f=47&t=47576 and got an answer
jorb wrote:Not a bug. Optimization is an ongoing thing.

and this optimization wont help me ,
i got 23 fps in village on 64bit java (16 fps on 32bit)
my cpu usage is 60-70%
and , when i clicking too much and fast with LMB (sending action to move) my fps drops to 2-3 , and cpu usage - 20-30% ...
