Unable to open the container with item 'hidden under cursor'

1) Take some item
2) Use 'hide under cursor' hotkey (caries)
3) try to open crate (maybe any other container too)

Hiding the object on the cursor is done client side so you can walk with an item held.
The server still knows you have the item on it, so it just shrugs when you right click it on the container.

It was a recent fix to it in the last patch as it worked as he described beforehand. Now you cant interact with anything that has a flower menu pop up (and some others like gates, containers,...) when holding an item, including itself.

Its never going to come back tho as im sure this fix was intended.

Might be a side effect of fixing the infinite inventory.
