Can't play.

I completely uninstalled HnH and reinstalled it and still the same result.
I even went as far and uninstalled and reinstalled Java and to no prevail.

H&H on steam comes with it's own java.
You'd have to use a standalone.

I installed new drivers and nvidia app and even added the overlay but to no avail. Can't reproduce it.

Could it really have something to do with Steam maybe?
Decided to press the play button at the top of the forums and run the game that way and I have not experienced a single issue for 5 minutes now.
I have not uninstalled anything off of my computer either.

... have you tried running the default client, rather than ender's client, on steam? cause that "play" button is not ender's client mate

I know the Play button at the top of the forums here is not enders. LOL

And yes I have tried running the default game without a client through steam and I still ended with the same result.

god forbid someone has an issue on windows and a linux user can spend more than 3 seconds before telling you to use linux instead


anyway, what java version do you have installed? I know the steam clients use java 23 (which is basically downloaded with the game), but the standalone clients use your system's default java
also, perhaps try to turn off steam overlay?

I currently have Version 8 Update 471 of Java.
I already turned off my steam overlay and that didnt help the issue at all.

Is the base version on steam also breaking? Or just ender?
I flew over the posts but couldnt find if you tried that as well..

Yeah, the base version through steam is also crashing. I unsubscribed from the Enders client before launching it and it did the exact same thing. Ran for 15 seconds, screen flashed white for a quick second and then the error popped up.

After some back and forth, we reinstalled the game on a different storage.

Reasoning:
A different path get's rid of all application bound settings made by nvidia's app / control panel.
Game actually works now.
