That's... strange. I don't think I've altered something render-related that can affect login screen like that. So I've noticed that it seems to hide indicators that are on the bottom half of my screen. Meaning if I turn the camera so that the direction I'm walking towards/the questgivers directions then the icon will show up again. Essentially try spinning your camera a bit and see if they show up.
