I'm getting this identical catch error now as well today. The vanilla client loads and plays fine. Updated everything I can think of. Any other ideas or fixes?

Reading it's likely some sort of odd network issue. But my network seems fine and the other client works. Is something broken for just an Ender Client connection?

It worked earlier today. Then gives the same socket error now. Intermittent Internet problems on my end or somewhere connecting to Github? I can download from Github. But the launcher-haven.jar crashes.

Ender beta client:

I see female silkmoths on the map, but when I catch them I find male silkmoths in my inventory. Three times in a row today, so probably every time.

I have no idea whether this replicates with the regular ender client, or the official client.

I'm haven't seen a male silkmoth today, to catch it and see whether I wind up with a female silkmoth in my inventory, but I know I've had both in my inventory since I first noticed there was something odd about silkmoth genders. (That was weeks ago.)

It's realistic, as if a person's appearance doesn't represent his gender. Ah.
