The "experts" or the stoopid earlier are complaining about diffulties of merging their shit onto their faction/private clients that maybe 1-2% of playerbase gives shit about. The statement earlier was about making a public custom client into a official one, that loftar support and merge his changes in of his on initative since the client in question "Ender" provides better experience of the game in a stable way and actually most playerbase is using it without any difficulties (btw he's been doing it over 10+ years, I haven't seen him(Ender) complaining at all about loftar's code unlike the shitter "experts" and i got no idea who you are) and all this is proven by loftar statistics himself in the OP

How could you say only 1-2% of people would be effected when the original post contains actual data showing at least half of the community are playing on clients that aren't ender or default?

Fraction clients have leaked several times, and near top tier clients have been publicly distributed several times. The reason they're no longer in wide use is because they're hard to maintain. Even if that weren't the case, public client devs have the same troubles as the private devs. The single biggest player drop off I've ever seen was when Ardclient first stopped working.

Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

I find it kind of funny that there are 5 clients with combined total of around 50% of the userbase share, then there's 50+ other "clients" that are just variants of Ardclient and/or shitposts.

having a good client available at forums should be decent enough for any player with any relevant interest at the game to reach and try it, the game is a bit time consuming so most people who will try and keep playing for more than the initial few hours will surely go look for one. I think thats the most important. A proof of that is Ender usage being above default.

Feels like loftar really hates custom clients and ender just sprinkles extra hate on top of that

I'd like to see some examples of my awful and unnecessary refactoring of loftar's stuff. While, yes, some code in there is even from before haven was 3d and was written while I was very new to both java and how the client works and I should rewrite all client features from scratch, I try to not touch loftar's code too much unless necessary, specifically to ease merging his changes in the future.
