Exclusively in browser client?

Postby clefa221 » Mon Jun 13, 2016 8:26 pm

I have a friend that wants to play haven and hearth, but sadly can't download anything on his school issued computer, I was wondering whether there is an in browser client that he could use?

FYI: He has the latest version of Java downloaded and has access to Chrome, Internet Explorer, and Firefox

In case Java is installed on the machine: there is a button labled 'Play' in the middle of the header of every page of this forum.

That downloads a file though, which he can't do

No, there are permissions set by the school administrators that prohibit him from downloading files from the internet

I don't know why people insist on going in circles and just avoid directly answering the question. No browser client exists, the best he could do is what ysh says, put the game on a flash drive.

If it the system administrator blocking him from "downloading" then he can't do the action of downloading to the flash drive unless he downloads it via a separate computer but then problem is that if he is prohibited from downloading then he probably is also prohibited from starting bat and files on his computer and then is also unable to upload and download regular game play data unless he uses a proxy. Technically this game can be hosted from the browser using a Java Applet embedded in HTML webpage hosted on someone's server but the problem with that is that he still needs to be able to start and run java permissions which probably doesn't have either. Aka, this is entirely pointless conversation if that is the reasons why.
