anyone know how i can run this baby on a mac, i can't use the RunMe file. Pretty please help.
Mmm, it's tricky, because I never worked with executables and/or script files on mac.
So what does RunMe.bat contains?
- Code: Select all
java -Xmx1024m -jar hafen-updater.jar update https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Cediner/ArdClient/Unstable/update/ -Djava.util.logging.config.file=logging.properties
start javaw -Xss2048k -Xms256m -Xmx2G -jar build/hafen.jar -U https://game.havenandhearth.com/hres/ game.havenandhearth.com
Let's see what run.sh(shell script contains):
- Code: Select all
#!/bin/bash
java -Xmx1024m -jar hafen-updater.jar update https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Cediner/ArdClient/Unstable/update/ -Djava.util.logging.config.file=logging.properties
java -Xss2048k -Xms256m -Xmx2G -jar build/hafen.jar -U https://game.havenandhearth.com/hres/ game.havenandhearth.com
pause
The entire idea of those scripts is just pasting needed commands in the command line. And it looks pretty same, right? What you will need to do is to individually copy+paste last 3 lines of run.sh in your terminal to verify that they work. If everything is well, all you need to do is run run.sh
Here is an answer how to run it
https://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/235128/how-do-i-run-a-sh-or-command-file-in-terminal, if tho it doesn't work I can try finding alternatives of those java commands for mac, however most likely it should work:)
Also, the .sh might not work from the beginning because you might need to give it permission to run, so in terminal you should be present in the folder with run.sh and type
- Code: Select all
chmod +x run.sh
Let me know if you have any questions or if you're stuck somewhere.
