Map export

Postby displaced » Sun Apr 04, 2021 7:33 pm

I'm currently fiddling a bit with the client sourcecode and i noticed that the maps are kind of tied to the installation location.
so i imported the map and go on with my stuff. but now if i try to export it i get an error:
Code: Select all
[20:26] mapfile warning: error when locating grid 76e7cc11239239a2: java.io.FileNotFoundException: map/9c9a3e9b29a1363f/grid-76e7cc11239239a2

well since i didn't delete anything, i can only imagine that this is some kind of odd behaviour if you have other directories from where you start the client.
is there a way to fix this? otherwise my map is useless and i can start over again

I don't think that warning is from when you export your map, rather that's a warning that happens during normal operation of the map. To be sure, it is a bug, and I'll be looking into it, but it shouldn't have anything to do with exporting the map. Do you not get an actual exported map file in the end?

Yes but it's not importable. It just stops in the middle of the export.
And exactly when it stops, the error is displayed in chat.

But for the record, it is the ender client, so it may or may not be a problem of the original. not sure.

Hmm, going to have to look into that, then.
