Ender Client: Look at world map while in a cave?

Is there a way to switch layers on the map, like if I wanted to look at the world map while I'm standing in a cave?

Is that a thing?

remember the name of a thing you have seen in the outside world. search for that thing in the menu to the right of the map. the map will then jump to the thing you want.

Better yet, make a custom marker on the map for the place you want (a particular cave entrance etc). select that marker. etc.
