Early game discoveries feature on clients

Would there happen to be a client that has the option to automatically remove icons of specific trees/rocks/bushes on your map after you've gotten your discoveries from them?
I don't imagine there is since I can't recall hearing of anything like this existing, but if there is one that has this feature, I'd be keen on knowing.

Ender's client can list everything on your mini map.

If you are looking for something that automatically removed them. That i do not know

It's hard to implement something like this

First, where do we draw the line? Do we include blocks, planks, seeds, boughs? If it's a fruit that gives you a seed after you eat it, do we add that too? Oh and there's "yesteryear's fruit", do we add that too?
Second, we need to make a manual list for every single tree, cause not all of them have the same types of discoveries. There's god knows how many trees in this game, and each of them have differently named things. Seed? Samara? Unique fruit name?
On top of that, you need to maintain a list of discoveries on each character and account, in the code. And a way to track what you have discovered from each tree? Cause what if you missed one thing? How do you know which?

Kinda hard, and in the end you only use this in the first 3 days of the world.

Closest thing we did to this were saved presets for map icons. You just remove the icons yourself and save the updated preset. And you load other presets when you're not foraging for discoveries.


I HAVE TO ADD, it would be really cool to have a discoveries Atlas instead, coming in the default client, rather than custom clients.

The Replica client, which will be having a public release closer to the launch, has a similar feature. Stay tuned for more info!

I would love a way to lookup what you have discovered, the the graphic/size for it, etc.
Ideally it would include things like flavor text about the object, what you obtain the item from, what it crafts into that you have unlocked, how many things it crafts into that you haven't unlocked, etc.

I would prefer that it only list things you have actually discovered so people can have the fun discovery aspect of it, though it would be nice if it came pre-populated with the basic things like each type of tree, stone and bush just grayed out.

The wiki is great, but it really does ruin some of the discovery aspect of figuring things out and finding them.
It's a big ask though.

Any update on when we can hear more about both that client and this feature? It would be cool to get some info before launch day happens.
