A look at the new cheesy update.

Newly designated cheese maker of Bottleneck, further information is irrelevant.

A few points have arisen as a result of this endeavor.

* Love the new simplistic barrel UI, a liquid content bar like on the tanning tubs/curd tubs/wine press/cauldron would be helpful as well. But this suffices for now.

* Rennet jars share the same bug as the tea pots, with the full jar being overwritten instead of a empty jar being used, wasting (not so very) precious vinegar and intestines as you cook the same batch over and over. - Current work-around is to simply drop the filled jars as you cook. (Can barely wait for the inventory code to be fixed.)

* Curding (curdling?) takes a hefty amount of time, about one real-time hour per chunk. Of course, nobody said this would be a instant meal source. Can be counteracted by simply placing down more tubs. Non-issue.

* Empty cheese trays can not be stacked on shelves. Making logistics a issue, short of keeping everything on the floor. Kindly consider revising.

Will update if any problems arises with the transformation from curd to proper cheese. Which reminds me, I need to place a shelf in the lake.

For the love of God, please do this if it's reasonably possible. It's not really that big a deal but the non-sensicalness of it is crawling under my skin.

I share Cajoes' sentiments on inventory reworks, and eagerly await delicious lake cheese.

I have yet to obtain vinegar to make rennet, but if it is just like the tea bug, then after making rennet, pick up an empty jar from your inventory and put it back down. This will make it the newest jar in your inventory, and it will be the one the crafting process uses. Repeat. This saves you having to actually drop the jars so there's no risk of losing them.

Yeah, what Mal said works fine with rennet just as it does with tea.

The ones who see things differently.

You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them, disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them.
And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius.

The experiment continues.

* 24 hours, real time. No change to the curds. Expecting it to take a bit over a in game week..

* Emptying a tray with curd results in curd being wasted as it poofs into nothing. Possible issue.

Addendum to post:

* Curiosity detected. One of the trays on the shelf on the outside of the cheese shop was empty and had a timer on it. Removing the empty tray resulted in a empty tray. No cheese detected yet.

Further addendum:

* Tiny slivers of a timer has been detected on the curd trays. The untampered curd tray has a more complete timer. Cheese might just be in the making.

The lake cheese has sadly gone runny. ... Very runny.
