I'm not making stuff up, I tend to think about how something is going to be programmed and if theirs is a way to get the end result with less memory usage and less CPU cycles I tend to favor that approach because it's usually also the approach the player will be able to more easily wrap their head around so the game mechanic won't be a black box. The tracking your proposing is simply too math intensive and that's why I don't like it.
