I belive the nautical term for very large ropes (such as would be used to lift an anchor) is Cable. I'd make Cable a 3x3 Item requiring 5 or more ropes to make. If and when larger navel vessels are added I could cetainly see the use of one or more such Cables used in the creation. Also our present Mineshaft could be modified to require Cables rather then the large number of ropes they currently require.
