Leeches as weapons

Seeing how the damage increases as the quality increases, what do you think of making leeches a potential "silent killer"?

q100 leeches would do 30 damage per bite... Yes it heals their HHP at this point but the SHP loss would be pretty immense.

Problem is how would you throw a leech at them, when the leeches themselves sticks to whatever "warm" surfaces is touching them.

You KO them and equip the leeches to their body. Old news.

I think OP's idea is more to use leeches as a "projectile" weapon of some sort... throw a bunch of high q leeches at your target, they may or may not stick, but your target would never know who threw them

A player would have to be fairly unobservant though not to notice a sudden drain in health and an inventory full of leeches... unless you could train up a super-leech with high enough q to one-hit KO your mark... but at that point, if your CON is so high, you're probably a good fighter all around anyway, so just stab the bastard and get on with it

Which means this would only increase the usefulness of leeches as a "murder for hire" commodity, with high con players selling high q leeches to less developed players, since you wouldn't need to KO the victim first to apply them. Scents for assault/murder should obviously still apply, right?

I think the leeches would be bad weapons unless the effect when used KO'd are FASSTEEERRRR
W3 - Apolion, Terricieil (old & new), Westedge & Saltmummys other place.
W4 - Quahog
W5 - Yggdrasil (now gone) - New Yggdrasil.

Am I really the only one that thinks this is ridiculous?

Not really, since i see the fact of you "throwing them" is almost impossible.
Leeches are a bit stupid and slow, besides this would be unbalanced.
Go into populated area, cover everyone in leeches, they die.

Come on, lighten up a little. Sure the optics of throwing a mutant superleech with murderous intent at someone are a bit silly, but what's wrong with brainstorming about a new combat/conflict option?

As far as the imbalance issue goes, you would have to be able to do this unnoticed, on the sly, and hope the people in the village don't notice. Not exactly an easy feat just to assassinate one person, let alone a whole village. A whole armada of strangers wandering through your village suspiciously would certainly cause alarm, and everyone not AFK at the time would then just suit up with everything they could get their hands on to fill up equipment slots. Just because something could work, doesn't automatically make it imbalanced.

Also, If you had enough wealth to buy enough of these things to kill a whole village, then you could have killed them by other means too. If you had enough people with enough CON to raise them yourself, then you're probably strong enough to just fight them head on anyway.

The biggest problem I can see is not so much the ease of killing someone this way, but the potential for a strong player to make these things, then give them to a disposable alt hearthed in the middle of nowhere, commit the murder, and have the scents point to nowhere in particular...

What the hell is wrong with using a ranger bow? The only possible argument for this is humour, and lolrandom was never funny.
