Breaking the Enigma.

First of all I don't apreciate that there was no warning of the ending of world 4. A weeks warning would have been fair.

Though my main point is about the new LP system. When there is lot to say I'm not the one to shun the talking, but now it's fairly easy to explain the system. If I would explain the new system to someone I would say it's exactly like a cipher.

Instead of constantly awarding you for DOING stuff you get learning points by trying different combinations to find the best curiosities.

People have started breaking this cipher, which is really fun for the geeks that like to find the missing parts of the equation.
Suffice to say, I'm not one of them. Jorb and Loftar have made updates in the past and let the players find out what was new, but this is total overkill. I think a game shouldn't demand a wiki to be playable, and it already was like that before. Now it is the most totally nonintuitive game I have ever played.

I like innovative thinking in game design but this is not my cup of tea. Better luck next time.

Inn of Brodgar is where all the whinng is supposed to be. Or the new Announcement thread.
We could really be warned about changes, tho. At least the basic formulas.

If you think that H&H is about character advancement then you've missed the point. If you want a game that's focused on leveling a character go play World of Warcraft. It's perfect for that.

H&H is about groups of people working together toward a common goal. It's about building, creating, politics, trading, and socializing. If you're not down with that, you probably shouldn't be playing H&H.

H&H is q-raising and ingame combat, silly. Thats all it is, and most likely ever will be.

And I like that. :D
