Or the amount of time it takes to change a belief should be relevant to how long you believed in something. For example, if you believed in change for your 100 hours of gameplay, it'd be a real bitch sliding even one point towards tradition. We all believe peace/change is better right off the bat since we want more LP, so why not let our characters believe in it from the start?
